About Tampa Female Physicians

Tampa Female Physicians is a distinguished 501(c)(3) public charity representing a powerful community of more than 1,000 women physicians united by a shared commitment to excellence, support, and service. Our mission is rooted in fostering meaningful connections, uplifting one another in both personal and professional pursuits, and giving back to the community we proudly serve each day.

With a focus on mentorship, advocacy, and wellness, Tampa Female Physicians provides a trusted space for collaboration, empowerment, and growth—ensuring that women in medicine have the resources, camaraderie, and representation needed to thrive.

In 2026, our signature event, the TFP Charity Gala, brings together over 350 physicians, healthcare leaders, and community partners for an evening of elegance, philanthropy, and celebration. Guests enjoy fine dining, curated entertainment, and a collective commitment to advancing wellness initiatives that strengthen the community at large. Together, we celebrate purpose, elevate one another, and champion a brighter, healthier future for Tampa Bay.

When we stand together, our impact becomes unstoppable — Are you in?

About 1Voice Foundation

1Voice Foundation offers more than 20 programs and services for children battling cancer and their families across west central Florida. These programs support patients and families at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, Tampa General Hospital, and the adolescent and young adult program at Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute.

Their services are designed to support every member of the family with emotional, educational, and financial assistance. 1Voice is a primarily volunteer-run organization with only one paid employee, allowing the majority of funding to go directly into programs and research.

A School and a Research Lab for Hope

In partnership with Hillsborough County Public Schools, 1Voice opened the 1Voice Academy – the first and only school in the United States created specifically for children with cancer. This unique school ensures that children can continue their education in a safe, understanding environment while undergoing treatment.

The foundation also funds and operates a pediatric cancer research laboratory led by Cameron Tebbi, M.D., who is working on developing a vaccine for leukemia and receives no compensation for this work. Each year, the 1Voice team travels to Capitol Hill for Childhood Cancer Action Days to advocate for increased federal funding for pediatric cancer initiatives.

Why This Cause Matters

The heart behind 1Voice Foundation comes from its founder, pediatric oncology social worker Mary Ann, who has spent over three decades serving families in the Tampa Bay area. Three years into her career, her 9-year-old son Jay was diagnosed with stage IV non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, just hours after her father’s own cancer diagnosis.

Jay passed away six months into treatment, and in his memory Mary Ann dedicated her life to creating programs that care for families walking the same path – especially the 1Voice Academy, which stands as a living tribute to his legacy.

The Impact of Your Donation

By attending the Benevolence Ball or making a donation, you are helping:

  • Provide emotional, educational, and financial support for families facing childhood cancer.
  • Keep the 1Voice Academy open for children with cancer who need a safe place to learn.
  • Fund pediatric cancer research focused on new treatments and the development of a leukemia vaccine.
  • Support ongoing advocacy efforts in Washington, D.C., fighting for better funding and policies for children with cancer.
